Johnny Wesley Hale, age 53, of N. Hoyle Street passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home. He was born December 5, 1964 in Gaston County to the late John Wesley and Dorothy Blanton Hale. Johnny was a truck driver for UPS Freight and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy as an aviation structural Mechanic. He attended the Eng School of Self Defense where he was an instructor and a 4th degree black belt. Johnny loved guns, fishing, and cars and was truly a jack of all trades. He was a graduate of Bessemer City High school Class of 1983. A special thanks to Gaston Hospice, especially to Mary West and Lisa Bradshaw.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tonya Tate Hale; son, David Richard Hale of Cherryville; daughter, Cheyenne Hale Small and husband, Gerald of Crouse; and three siblings.
The family will be receiving friends Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the home on N. Hoyle Street from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. All services will be private.
