John Craig

John "Bob" Robert Craig, age 85, of Red Apple Drive, died July 23, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Bob was born March 5, 1929 in Gaston County a son of the late Marshall and Virgie Ross Craig. He was retired from Rexam Inc., was a US Army Korean War Veteran, an avid nascar fan and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother Dr. Joe Craig and wife Margaret of Charlotte and a sister, Ruth Craig Phillps of Lenoir and a special friend Nell Ramsey.

Funeral Services will be held at Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. The burial will follow the service in City Memorial Cemetery Cherryville there will be a flag presentation by American Legion Post 100. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 PM prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of Caromont Regional Medical Center for the excellent care given to Mr. Craig during the time he was there.
