Jimmy Lee Bridges, 61, of Elm Street died December 24, 2013 at his residence. Jimmy was born July 11, 1952, in Cleveland County a son of the late Joe and Murl Bridges. He was retired from ABF in Kernersville, formerly Carolina Freight Carriers. Jimmy was an umpire for Legion Baseball, High School, Middle School, former Little League Baseball coach.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Kiser Bridges, daughter, Summer Bridges and son Marty Rudisill.

Survivors include his fiancé Patricia Strickland, sons, Jason Self (Irma) of Louisiana, Jimmy Rudisill (Ann) of Cherryville, sisters, Cathy Stone (John), Debbie Bridges, Kim Holtsclaw (Rev.Bobby) all of Cherryville, brother, Carl Bridges (Anita) of Cherryville, Grandchildren, Tanner Jones of Cherryville, Jeff, Hannah, Tyler and Brittany of Louisiana, Bradley and Justin Green of Lincolnton, Jonathan, Zachary and Madison Rudisill of Cherryville,

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw and Rev. Jimmy Rudisill officiating. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM December 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
