James Taylor

James Daniel Taylor, 59, of 825 Helton Rd., died Saturday July 6, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born on April 11, 1954 in Peachtree, Cherokee Co. NC, a son of the late James Drew Taylor and Maida Ruth Stiles Taylor of Peachtree, NC. He was a veteran of the US Marines and employed at Freightliner Daimler Chrysler, Gastonia

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by two siblings Harold Taylor and Carol Rhodes.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 22 years Sandra Renfroe Taylor, daughters Jenifer Lynn Ghorley (Matt) of Cherryville, Sabrina Taylor Brown of Cherryville, step son Jeremy Smith (Keri) of Nova Scotia, Canada, five granddaughters, sisters Deborah Standridge of Copperhill TN and Rhonda Steele of Peachtree, NC

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 2:30-3:45 PM and at other times at the home.
