James Reep

James Verlyn Reep, age 50 passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. He was born on January 11, 1966 in Gaston County to Joyce Marlene Ramsey Wellman of Shelby and the late Charles Albert "Alb" Reep. Jamie worked in construction. He enjoyed going out for runs and visiting the beach. He also loved to cook big meals and socialize with friends. He never met a stranger. Jamie had a big heart and loved everyone.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gabrielle Crossman.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his daughters, Takisha Reep (Robert Hamrick) of Cherryville and Jamie Lynn Reep of Lincolnton; wife, Missy Williams; grandchildren, Jessica Penley, Chloe Hamrick, and Payton Reep; brothers, Charles Scott Reep of Shelby and Gregory D. Reep (Keitha) of Kings Mountain; sister, Beth Reep Richmond of Conway, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jim Belt officiating. Burial will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
