Iris Mogus

Iris Janet Beam Mogus age, 76, of Baxter Road died December 15, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 25, 1937 in Gaston County a daughter of the late Thomas Pinkney and Elise Margaret Bennett Beam. Mrs. Mogus retired from Broward County Florida, where she was an administrative assistant in Zoning and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis James Mogus in 2012 and a brother Thomas Beam.

Survivors include a daughter Ann Nance of Cherryville, one grandson Jake Koester and wife Meredith, of Cherryville and family friend Cameron Bradshaw, Cherryville.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Lail. Burial will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
