Hazel Sipe

Hazel Bernice Turner Sipe, age 87of Requa Rd. died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at her residence. She was born on October 12, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late Willie Franklin and Lillie Mae Bidex Turner. Hazel was a member of North Brook Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was retired from Dora Yarn Mills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Turner and Donald Turner, and sisters, Mazel Hovis, Myrtle Peeler, Jeanette Allred, and Betty Sain.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Harold D. Sipe, Sr.; sons, David Sipe (Sheila) of Cherryville and Alan Sipe (Janine) of Mooresville; daughter, Teresa Foster of Cherryville; grandchildren, Mindy Foster, Delana Ferguson (Alex), Cassandra Stroehmer (Serge), Jessica Bleau (Jason), and Paige Sipe; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Ferguson and Ansley Ferguson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 4:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Wise and Rev. Wade Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.
