Grady Butler

July 25, 1936 — May 12, 2018

Grady Marshall Butler, age 81 formerly of North Dr., passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation. He was born July 25, 1936 in Lincoln County to the late Frank Marion and Bessie Chambers Butler. Marshall was a member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church and retired from Cochrane Furniture. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He had a love for socializing and always found a way share Jesus with others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Bryson Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faye Chapman Butler; daughters, Michelle Willis and husband, Randy and Leisa Marsh; son, Marshall Gene Butler; grandchildren, Hannah Grigg, Sara Willis, Kyle Willis, Ashley Calabrese, Kimberly Goodman, Jessica Gold, Laura Moreno, and Jay Butler; great grandchildren, Alisia Gold, Keegan Calabrese, Colt Goodman, Grant Goodman, and Lucus Willis; and nieces and nephews, Melinda Greenwood, Sue Owens, David Chapman, Bill Chapman, Bobby Chapman, Robin Hamrick, Angie Bumgarner, Larry Chapman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church with Rev. Fred Morrison and Rev. Bob Wise officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home.
