Gertrude Boston Spake, age 83 of Devenny Rd. passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1935 in Lincoln County to the late Guy and Dallas Hoyle Boston. Mrs. Spake was an excellent cook and enjoyed watching cooking shows. She also enjoyed word finds and flowers. She loved her Lord and her family with all her heart and made it known to all those around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Thomas Spake; son, Thomas Eugene Spake; granddaughter, Amanda Spake; son-in-law, Harold Moore; and siblings, Donald, Carl, and Bob Boston and Cora Mae Emert.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Floyd of Waco; grandchildren, Amy Brady, Brad Spake, Crissy Alexander, and Trey Kutta; daughter-in-law, Jan Spake of Lyman, SC; brothers, Ronald Boston and Jay Boston, both of Crouse; and eight great grandchildren, Nick, T.J., Camden, Grayson, Chance, Riley, Jacob, and Noah.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery.
