Gary Young

Gary Lee Young, age 51 of Sellers Rd. died Friday, June 5, 2015 at Brian Center of Salisbury. He was born on June 9, 1963 in Mecklenburg County to Dorothy Mae Trull Young of Belmont and the late Samuel Young. He was a member of Mary's Grove United Methodist Church. Gary had a love for animals and a passion for horseback riding.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sheila Lingerfelt Young; son, Shane Lee Young of Bessemer City; daughter, Shayra Young of Belmont; brothers, Junior Young of Stanley and Ricky Young of Belmont; and sisters, Elaine Price of Belmont and Diane Porch of Mt. Holly.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 3:30 PM at Mary's Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Charlene Hutchings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:30 to 3:15 PM in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.
