Gary Mason

Gary Wayne Mason, age 66, of Settler's Dr. died on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 20, 1947 in Buena Vista, VA, a son of the late Charles Aires Mason and Dorothy Darty Mason. Mr. Mason was a member of First Baptist Church and a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. He was very patriotic and member of the NRA. Gary was the Plant Director at Graphics International in Charlotte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Cleon Mason.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sherry Sparks Mason; daughter, Fashion Mystique Mason of Cherryville and fiancé, Bart Alan Davis of Cherryville; brothers, Clifford Mason (Annette) of Lenexa, KS, Carnes Mason (Diane) of Buena Vista, VA, Chuck Mason of Manassas, VA, and Mike Clark (Sue) of Waynesboro, VA; and sisters, Shelly Parsons (Tom) of Glen Allen, VA, and Paula Keller (John) of Manassas, VA.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
