Floyd Norman

Floyd Andy Norman, age 78 of Forest Wehunt Rd. died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Brian Center of Lincolnton. He was born on February 1, 1937 in Cleveland County to the late Vance Andrew and Margaret Ella Randall Norman. Floyd was a member of North Brook Baptist Church where he enjoyed traveling with the Happy Hearts Club. He retired from Hickory Springs after 44 years of service. Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jean Wehunt Norman; and sister, Ora V. Oaks.

Survivors include his sons, Chris Norman and Lynn Norman and wife, Donna all of Cherryville; daughters, Debbie Fowler of Hickory and Gina Tallent and husband, Darrell of Casar; daughter-in-law, Jodi Bowman of Lincolnton; sister, Vertie Lee McDaniel of Shelby; grandsons, Alan, Scott, Andrew, and Kevin Norman and Travis Tallent; granddaughters, Anna and Robin Norman; and great grandchildren, Ian, Holden, Maci, Cassie, and Kylee.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Robert E. Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services.
