Flonnie Cross

Flonnie Deese Cross, age 85, of Startown Road, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at The Greens of Lincolnton. She was born on October 23, 1936 in York County to the late Joseph Hammond and Sally Kate Deese.

Flonnie was a member of Reepsville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Michelle Smith.

Survivors include her children, Bonnie Bumgarner (Keith) of Lincolnton, Michael Holliday (Cindy) of Margate, Florida, Donna Avery of Jacksonville, Florida, and Frankie Costner of Cherryville; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2022 at Reepsville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hull officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 2:45 PM prior to the service in the church

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reepsville Baptist Church, Young at Heart, 1513 Alf Hoover Rd, Vale, NC 28168.
