Faybell Costner Truesdale, age 91 of Vale, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her son’s residence in Bessemer City. She was born September 2, 1930, in Gaston County to the late Bertie Lee Costner Mauney. Faybell was a hard worker and dedicated herself to raising her family. She loved her children, and they were her everything. Faybell also enjoyed seek-and-find word puzzles and being with family.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Willard “Blackie” Truesdale; son, Kenneth Lee Truesdale; grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Truesdale and Jesse Truesdale; brother, Walter Mauney; and sisters, Louise Williams and Diddy Flowers.
Survivors include her children, Bruce Truesdale (Dart), Michael Truesdale, Darlene Jones, and Terrie Goode (Wynne); brother, Harold Mauney; sister, Geraldine Roome; grandchildren, Tim (Erica), Tisha (Keith), Chad (JoAnn), Chase (Kasey), Tabitha, Josh (Ericka), Jessica, Jennifer (Chris), Crystal (Justin), Shane (Heather), and Fonda; great grandchildren, Kelly (Bradley), Timothy (Elle), Eric, Logan, Brooke, Kristlyn, Payton, Taylor, Bryce, Zack, Colton, Fancy, Jordan, Shayleigh, Kaylee, Skyler, Lucas, Anastasia, Addisyn, Ayden, Mason, Haven, Brayden, Alyssa, Blake, and Ava; and great great grandchildren, Eliza, Blakely, Nikolai, Kaycen, Roselee.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Bean officiating.
