Esther Costner

Esther Rena Harris Costner, age 74, of S. Pink Street, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 12, 1947 in Cleveland County to the late Claude and Ruth Geneva Williams Harris.

Esther loved sewing and crafting. She was also of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude Columbus Harris, Bobby Dean Harris; sisters, Geraldine Bowlin, and Joan Goins.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tara Harris Deaton; grandsons, Travis Harris and wife Natalie Stockton, and Derek Benfield; great-grandchildren, Tristan Harris, and Noah Harris; sister, Janie Homesley; and a special friend, Brodis Baxter.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Robert Hamilton officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
