Emma Hamrick

Emma Beatrice Hamrick, age 92 passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Wendover Hospice House. She was born March 19, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late Duckery Jackson Hinson and Phillip Ann Shipton Hinson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Dude Hamrick; sons, Lee Hamrick, Billy Hinson and Bruce Hamrick; daughter, Ola Mae Pruitt; siblings, Nellie M. Dover, Jackson Hinson, Ernest Hinson and Major Hinson and one late grandchild.

She is survived by her son, William Donald Hamrick of Shelby; fourteen grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
