Edwin Hoyle

Edwin Frank Hoyle, age 82, of Happy Valley Terrace passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at his home. He was born January 8, 1936 in Cleveland County to the late Frank Graham and Ruth Evlyne Sellers Hoyle. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Edwin was an avid fisherman and storyteller and enjoyed recycling.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his half-brother, Flay William Sellers.

He is survived by his wife of 61 Years, Jeanette Kiser Hoyle; daughter, Beth Hoyle Jones of Lincolnton; sister, Barbara Hoyle Gutierrez and husband Carlos; grandchildren, John Jones and wife, Ashley, Jamie and Casey Jones; great-grandchildren, Emma Abee, Melanie, Meredith, Sierra, and Abbigail Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post #100. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 at the church prior to the service.
