Dwayne Spivey

Dwayne Spivey, age 63, of Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1960 in Hiawassee, GA to the late Cliff Spivey, and the late Betty Jean Parker Hendricks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gerald Leroy Hendricks; and brother, David Hendricks.

Dwayne was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed listening to music, and in his younger days he sang with several bands. 

Survivors include his wife, Tammy James Spivey; children, Amber Love (Jimmy), Clay Spivey, Holly Spivey, and Haley Spivey; sister, Debbie Huber (Steve); brother, Chris Hendricks (Melissa); sister-in-law, Cindy Hendricks; stepchildren, Weldon W. James, and Thomas Willis; grandchildren, Dalton Roberts, Cayden Serretiz, and Jace Love; step-grandchildren, Logan James, Caleb James, Lydia James, and Jaxon James; great-grandson, Colton Roberts; and life-long friends, Johnny and Wendy Graham and Richie McGee.

A Celebration of Dwayne’s Life will be held at 7:00PM Monday, January 22, 2024 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Tommy Scronce officiating. 

His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 6:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
