Dorothy Wiseman

Dorothy Beam Wiseman, of Covenant Village, formerly of Cherryville, died August 5, 2016 at her residence. "Dottie", as she was affectionately known, was born in Gaston County, a daughter of the late Claude W. and Blanche Mauney Beam. Mrs. Wiseman was a member of First Baptist Church and retired billing manager for Carolina Freight. She was active in many community and civic organizations.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Wiseman, Jr.; brother, A. B. Beam and a sister, Angelita Beam Mason.

Survivors include three nieces, Jane Buchanan, Gastonia, Sharon Crumpston, Orlando, FL, and Belinda Mason, Orlando, FL; nephew, Terry Steven Mason, Orlando, FL; friends, Shelia W. Houser and Janet G. Carter and her friend and caregiver Donna G. Stamey.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 3:30 PM at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00-3:00 PM at Carpenter- Porter Funeral and Cremation Services.
