Don Randall

June 29, 1931 — September 3, 2015

Don Richard Randall, Sr. age 84, of Crescent Dr. died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Carolinas HealthCare System in Cleveland. He was born on June 29, 1931 in Gaston County to the late Raymond and Carrie McGinnis Randall. Don was retired from the US Post Office where he was a mail carrier for over 35 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a Korean War Veteran of the United States Air Force. Don attended Gardner Webb on a baseball scholarship and loved sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tucker Blackwelder Randall; and sisters, Velma Jeroline Randall and Dorothy Lee Randall.

Survivors include his sons, Don Richard Randall, Jr. and Dr. George W. Randall and wife, Tammy; daughter, Jane Randall Thomas; grandchildren, Alex Thomas, John Randall, and Collin Randall; nephew, Tommy Randall; and brother-in-law, Dick Blackwelder and wife, Betty.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 1:30 PM at First Presbyterian with Rev. Dr. Bill Lowe officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services.
