Denise Mull

November 7, 1964 — July 11, 2015

Denise Moss Mull, age 50 of Ramsey St. died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at her residence after a two and half years courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 7, 1964 in Cleveland County. Denise graduated from Cherryville High School in 1983 and attended Western Carolina University. She then joined the United States Army. Denise was formerly employed with Caromont Medical Group and Cherryville and Dallas Rescue squads as an EMT. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, and enjoyed volunteering with Hospice and the Life Strong Program at YMCA in Shelby. She was very active with Relay for Life and supporting cancer awareness. "Keep Pounding!"

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Moss and Clara Faye McSwain Moss.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney Alan Mull; sons, Brandon Moss, Cameron Norvell, and Ryan Mull all of Cherryville; step-father, Gerald Huber of Forest City; sister, Tammy Moss of Cherryville; brothers, Chuck McSwain, Jeffery Huber, and Danny Huber all of Forest City; and her beloved dog, Alamo.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #100. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services and other times at the home.
