Debbie Sigmon

Debra Annette Black Sigmon, age 60 of Bud Black Rd. passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at her daughter’s residence.  She was born June 23, 1961 in Gaston County a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Kathleen Rollins Black.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  Debbie loved going to the beach.  She had many hobbies including playing cards, riding the golf cart, swimming, bowling, working crossword puzzles, coloring, and watching her favorite tv shows.  Debbie enjoyed bubbles and running the roads at all hours of the day and night.  She was always on the phone and chatting with Teddy and the kids.  Debbie was a true caregiver.  She loved to help others and had a heart of gold.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jack Sigmon; and brother, Joe Sisk.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Teddy Hoyte Sigmon; children, Honee Patterson Moyer (Shannon), Heather Craig (Kevin), Tinna Eastin (Matthew), David Hinson, and Josh Sigmon (Misty); grandchildren, Jacob Moyer, Brandon, Kathryn, and Katelyn Fenstermacher, Brianna and Hannah Craig, and Noah and Kayden Hinson; mother-in-law, Kat Sigmon; siblings, Linda Powell (Robert), Sherry Beason (Robert), Terry Smith (Tonya), and Roger Smith; sister-in-law, Rita Sisk; brother-in-law, Doug Sigmon (Trish); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Bill Lowe officiating.  Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
