Daniel Hall

Daniel J. Hall, Sr. 65 of Flat Rock Dr., died Feb. 17, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born on Dec. 1, 1947 in Hartsville, SC a son of the late Harmon and Anna McGogan Hall. "Papa Bear" as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church and retired from Gastonia Sheet Metals a HVAC installer. Daniel enjoyed repairing things, loved his Harley and enjoyed fishing and hunting and adored his grandbabies.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers John and Howard Hall

Survivors include his wife of 34 years Donna Flowers Hall, children Alaina H. Bridges and husband Terry of Shelby, Daniel J. Hall, Jr. of North Carolina, and Alan Haynes and wife Trina of Bessemer City, two grandchildren Jazlee and Kayla, brother Robert Roscoe of High Point and two sisters Margaret Neese and husband Jerry of Gastonia, Jenny Stewart of Gastonia, three sister in laws Debbie and Harold Matheson of Kings Mountain, Janice and Roy Barker of Bessemer City and Sandy Flowers, Bessemer City .

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 PM at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Fain Farmer and Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 2-2:45 PM at the church.
