Dalphine Black

July 13, 1934 — January 28, 2014

Dalphine Elizabeth Dellinger Black, age 79, of Kindred Lincoln Nursing Center died on January 28, 2014 at her residence. She was born on July 13, 1934 in Gaston County to the late David Jackson and Delia Sally Russ Dellinger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Black; and a brother, Alfred Dellinger.

Survivors include her sons, John Johnson (Shelia) of Gastonia, and James Johnson (Mary) of Alexis; daughters, Linda Arrowood (Ron Robinson) of Charlotte and Mary Ann Dugger of Cherryville; brother, William C. "Dub" Dellinger of Boiling Springs; fourteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremations Services with Rev. Todd Auton officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
