C.V. Stamey

Charles C.V. "Pete" Stamey, age 74 of Startown Rd. passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at Peak Resources in Shelby. He was born December 7, 1943 in Lincoln County to the late Charles Donald and Lucille Grigg Stamey. C.V. retired from Trend Line of Lincolnton and Cochrane Furniture. Pete was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Stamey.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mandy Richard Stamey; daughter, Crystal Shea Stamey of Gastonia; brothers, Donald Stamey, Mackey and Freda Stamey, and Chris and Teresa Stamey, all of Lincolnton; sisters, Rita and Daniel Martin of Lincolnton and Brenda Hardin of Cherryville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Bud Painter and Mr. Danny Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
