Coneta Beam Dellinger , 93, of Pine Ave., died Saturday Feb. 16, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.
Mrs. Dellinger was born on March 16, 1919 in Gaston Co. a daughter of the late Grover B. and Gartha Wise Beam. She was employed by Fairfield Textiles as an inspector and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, former Sunday School teacher, and served her church in various and numerous capacities.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters Dorothy Webb, Wanda Nifong, and Geraldine Manous.
Survivors include her husband of 70 proud years John Bennett Dellinger, Jr., children Anita Millwood and husband Don of Cherryville, and J. Bennett Dellinger, III and wife Caroline, of Charlotte, three grandchildren Marie M. Mackie and husband Brian of Hickory, Sarah M. Neill and husband Bryan of Cherryville, and Cheslie M. Carter and husband Andrew of Mooresville, six great grandchildren Greyson, Brayden, Sawyer, Kaylin, Luke, and Austin and brother G. B. Beam of Cherryville.
Burial will be Monday at 3 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery followed by a memorial service at St. John's Lutheran at 3:30 PM with Rev. Dr. Eric Childers officiating. The family will receive friends Monday after the services in the Vida Dellinger Parlor of the church and at other times at the home of Anita and Don Millwood, Elm St. Cherryville.
