Colin Bumgarner

Colin Franklin Bumgarner, age 61, of Sorrells Baxter Rd. died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System in Lincolnton. He was born on August 25, 1953 in Lincoln County to Gladys Warlick Biddix of Cherryville and the late Charles Franklin Bumgarner. Colin's passion was horses and rodeos.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Fitch Bumgarner; and a sister, Sharon Sue Dixon.

In addition to his mother and step-father, Gladys and James Biddix, he is survived by his children, Travis Bumgarner of Crouse, Katie Bumgarner of Cherryville, and Daniel Bumgarner of Cherryville; granddaughter, Aubrey Ann Bumgarner; brother, Charles Randy Bumgarner of Lincolnton; and sister, Connie Smith of Sherrills Ford.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will follow at Roseland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
