Chuck Deaton

Bobby Charles “Chuck” Deaton, age 62, of Bessemer City, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at CaroMont Health in Gastonia. He was born December 18, 1960, in Gaston County to Phyllis Carpenter Wysor and the late Bobby Charlie Deaton.

In addition to his father, he was proceeded in death by two grandchildren, Bella Rain Durbin and Cooper Easton Durbin.

He is survived by his sons, Charlie Deaton (Amanda) and Chuck Deaton (Amanda); his daughters, Shi Durbin (Bobby) and Amber Deaton; his brother, Marcus Deaton; his sister, Deborah Thomas (Jerry); a special aunt, Samantha Carpenter; grandchildren, Alex Durbin (Michelle), Darren Durbin (Lily), Theresa Durbin, Allie Mae Durbin, Zachariah Deaton, Jordan Deaton, Naomi Grace Deaton, Brayden Brigmon, Ansley Deaton, and Drake Deaton; and a great grandchild, Oaklynn Durbin.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 3 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Stephen King officiating.
