Chase Blanton

Chase Burton Blanton, age 41 of Cherryville, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his residence after an extended illness.  He was born March 12, 1982 in Cleveland County, the son of David William “Herb” and Betty Whitworth Blanton.  Chase was a barber and former owner of Cut to the Chase Barber Shop.  He enjoyed sports, especially watching his son set numerous high school records in wrestling and football; and he loved his Atlanta Falcons.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benny and Mozelle Blanton, Mary Whitworth, and Mason Whitworth; and uncle, Doug Whitworth.

Survivors include his parents, Herb and Betty Blanton; son, Jayden Blanton; daughter, Ja’Mya Blanton and her mother, Ebone Johnson; brother, Keith Blanton and wife, Christina; nephew, Michael Blanton; aunt, Vickey Silver; and numerous cousins and friends. 

Private services will be held at a later date.
