Carol Sellers Ballance

Carol Sellers Ballance, age 69, of Crouse, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born July 7, 1954, in Lincoln County to Bennie Ray Sellers and Janet Carpenter Sellers.  Carol retired from Rutherford Electric where she worked on the switchboard.   She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.  Carol had a love for animals.  She especially loved dogs, horses, and even turtles.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenny Sellers; and sister, Oneda Sellers Harbin.

In addition to her parents, B.R. Sellers and Janet Sellers, she is survived by her brother, Jerry Stevan Sellers (Jahna); sister, Jennifer Sellers Hester (Jeremiah); nephews, Nicholas Ray Sellers (Jennifer) and Will Harbin (Traci); niece, Audrey Hester; and great niece and great nephews, Brooklyn Sellers, Carter Sellers, and Auden Sellers.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with Minister Brad Alexander officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
