Betty Leonhardt

Betty Anne Chezem Leonhardt, age 59, of Leonhardt Rd passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. She was born December 29, 1959 in Florida to Lester Chezem and Juanita Franklin Stephens. Betty was a secretary for Leonhardt Trucking and loved to garden, fish and dance.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 34 years, James Kevin Leonhardt; children, James Leonhardt, Jr. of Hickory, Stacey Leonhardt of Hickory, Angela Leonhardt of Cherryville and Latasha Lutz of Georgia; grandchildren, Adam Bryant, Alissa Parker, DJ Parker, Kayleigh Sisk and Landon Heavner; siblings, Tim Chezem, Robbie Chezem, Roger Bratther and June Gouch.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Randi Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
