Barbara Haskin

Barbara Jane Anthony Haskin, 73, of Sipe St., formerly of Benfield Rd. and Cherryville, died December 19, 2015 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. She was born in Gaston County on September 18, 1942 to the late Woodrow Wilson Anthony and Edith Louise Noles Anthony Shull. Barbara was formerly employed at Cherry Oak Manor. Mrs. Haskin read her Bible and prayed faithfully. She found great pleasure building puzzles and doing word searches.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; William Stephen Haskin, late daughter; Running Water Haskin, sister; Bernice Seate, two brothers; Gene Anthony and Don "Chubby" Anthony, and a great grandchild, Eli McKoy.

Survivors include her children; Anita Kowalczyk (Kelly) of Kings Mountain, Clarence William Haskin (Lisa) of Dallas, William Stephen Haskin II (Sherry) of Ranlo, Denita Canipe (Marc) of Kings Mountain, and Juanita Ledford (Ted) of Crouse. Sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two brothers; William Anthony of Waco, Steve Anthony of Lincolnton and a sister; Brenda Houck of Cherryville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 3:30 PM Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev. Mike Chambers will be officiating with burial to follow in New Camp Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 2:00-3:15 PM.
