Autumn Gantt

Autumn Brooke Gantt, 42, of Old Highway 150 died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain. She was born in Cleveland Co. on Oct. 8, 1972 to Beverly Barts Gantt of Vale and the late Ronald Gene Gantt.

Brooke was a member of North Brook Baptist Church. She attended Western Carolina University and was a graduate of Caldwell Community College with a degree as an X-Ray technician and a was a certified phlebotomist. She found great pleasure in riding her horses at Love Valley, South Mountain and the wagon trains. She was a Blue Heeler dog breeder, avid animal lover, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving companion of 15 years, Tim Elmore; brother, Shayne Gantt of Vale; nephew, Colten Gantt of Vale; and paternal grandmother, Kathaleen Lackey Gantt of Vale.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services from 1:00 to 2:30 PM and at other times at the home of Beverly Gantt, 8641 Reep's Grove Ch. Rd., Vale, NC. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bob Wise officiating.
