Adriana Gordon

Adriana Woody Gordon, age 77, of Cherryville, formerly of Charlotte, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation.  She was born September 22, 1945 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of Dr. William Woody of Gastonia and the late Carolyn Hale Woody.  She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte as well as a member of the DAR. She was formerly employed with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and the US Postal Inspection Service.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Stuart Gordon, Jr.; daughter, Victoria Catherine Gordon; father and stepmother, Dr. William and Dorothy Woody; siblings, Ann Woody Drum, William L. Woody Jr. (Gayla), and James Alexander Woody (Carol); uncles and aunts, Joe H. Woody (Dana), Sidney L. Woody (Leigh), and Ann Woody Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private inurnment will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte.
